Basic Water Law Resources:
State of Colorado Water Resources:
- Division of Water Resources, Office of State Engineer administers Colorado's water resources and provides access to water data and forms.
- Colorado Water Conservation Board ("CWCB") works with other state agencies to protect Colorado's water rights for future generations. The Board also has a low-interest loan program available to assists with financing water projects that develop and/or preserve waters statewide.
- Colorado Decision Support System was developed by the Division of Water Resources and the CWCB to assist in making informed decisions regarding historic and future use of water.
- Colorado Water Resources and Power Development Authority provides financing resource for water and wastewater infrastructure in Colorado.
- Colorado Water Quality Control Commission is the administrative agency responsible for developing specific state water quality policies. The Commission adopts water quality classifications and standards for surface and ground waters of the state, as well as various regulations aimed at achieving compliance with those classifications and standards.
- The Colorado Ground Water Commission is a regulatory and an adjudicatory body authorized by the General Assembly to manage and control designated ground water resources within the State of Colorado.
